The KLE Society, Belagavi, is the sponsoring body of the KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research, Deemed-to-be-University, Belagavi. Established in 1916, the KLE Society has emerged as a leading institution in the fields of education and healthcare. It celebrated its centenary year in 2015-16, with the occasion honored by Hon. Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi.
Founded by seven visionary educators, known as the “Saptarishis,” with philanthropic support from three generous patrons, the KLE Society is distinguished by its democratic governance and charitable mission.
Under the esteemed leadership of Hon. Chancellor and Chairman, Dr. Prabhakar Kore, the Society has experienced significant transformation over the past 35 years. From a humble beginning of 35 institutions, it has expanded to over 310 institutions across the country—an inspiring achievement. The Society’s global collaborations with prestigious universities in the US, UK, and Malaysia further elevate its stature, placing it alongside the world’s leading educational institutions.
Dr. Kore’s unparalleled guidance for over 40 years, supported by a dedicated team, has been fundamental in shaping KLE into a globally recognized educational destination. The collective efforts of 13,000 trust members, 1,40,000 students, and 18,000 faculty members continue to propel the Society to new heights of excellence.

ABOUT THE KLE COLLEGE OF PHARMACY, BELAGAVI
KLE College of Pharmacy, founded in 1968 on the vibrant campus of JN Medical College, Belagavi, has been a leader in pharmaceutical education. Beginning with a Diploma in Pharmacy, the college expanded its offerings over time, adding B. Pharm (1975), M. Pharm (1988), Ph.D. programs (2000), M.Sc. in Clinical Pharmacy (2013), and Pharm. D (2014). In 2009, it became a constituent unit of KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research, a Deemed-to-be-University.
With over 50 years of academic excellence, the college has earned prestigious NBA and NAAC accreditations. Recognized by PCI and AICTE, the institution remains committed to maintaining the highest standards in both education and research.
